Connected is a global health initiative committed to advancing health and wellness across borders. Our goal is to strengthen health systems, promote health equity, and ensure access to essential health services for all, so that everyone, everywhere, can achieve their highest standard of health.
Through collaborative partnerships, innovative programs, and awareness campaigns, we address key areas of global health, including prevention and control of diseases, public health initiatives, and epidemiology researchto inform evidence-based interventions.
By uniting people, organizations, and knowledge worldwide, we foster sustainable solutions for healthier communities, drive positive behavior change, and promote a collective impact that transcends borders.
Caste-based discrimination in India leads to serious health disparities. Marginalized communities often face limited access to hospitals, clean water, and adequate sanitation, increasing their risk of disease and malnutrition. Unsafe work and social exclusion further worsen their health outcomes. Implementing inclusive healthcare policies and training medical staff to address bias is essential. Reducing caste-based inequality is vital for improving public health and life expectancy.
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health challenge, particularly in densely populated urban slums such as Dharavi, Mumbai, where overcrowding, limited sanitation, and poor access to healthcare contribute to high transmission rates. Research is needed to better understand the environmental and social factors that drive TB spread in this setting, which can inform targeted interventions and improve disease control efforts.
